After the dietary extravaganza that has been Christmas and New Years, the Moon has now moved into Virgo.
Virgo is very much about discrimination, some may say criticality, whatever. It is, however also very much focused on health, whole food, real food, food with the dirt still on it, sweetie.
It is this trait that makes the Virgo Moon a good one for healthy habits.
Virgo, you see, at its highest level is about the constant search for self improvement, perfection, everything in its place organisation. Note that I said Virgo, not Virgos- not all Virgos are clean freaks…or health freaks…despite what the textbooks say.
In the body, Virgo rules digestion- that process where the body critically examines just what we have put into it and decides where that nutrient (or non nutrient) will be best put to service. The waste is then directed for elimination- for want of a better term.
Scorpio and the planet Pluto rule the process of elimination.
The thing is, when we don’t get rid of what isn’t doing us good, it hangs around, it blocks us up, it prevents us from moving freely forward. A sort of metaphysical constipation I guess.
Over the next couple of days, the Universe is giving us the perfect planetary energy to get in and get ourselves organised for the New Year.
Whether it’s putting the pressies away, planning the weeks healthy eating menu, tidying your desk, getting a years worth of filing done, cleaning out the linen cupboard, marking the birthdays on a calendar and resolving to this year remember to send cards…ok, at least a text…all of this is great Virgo energy.
